Justin
Justin is a facilitator and leadership advocate dedicated to the belief that safety is not a matter of compliance, but a fundamental human right.
With a professional background rooted in occupational health and safety, he has spent over 15 years mastering the art of motivating "discretionary effort"—moving people past passive participation and inspiring a culture where staying silent is not an option.
Justin's Story
The compass that is guiding Justin’s advocacy is his son, Rowan. In November 2025, Rowan walked into an emergency room seeking help, only to be failed by a series of preventable systemic gaps. His death was not an inevitability, but a failure of accountability. For Justin, Rowan’s story is a call to action. It exposed a healthcare landscape where the voices of the suffering are often silenced, and where the dedicated efforts of frontline workers are often undermined by a fractured system. Rowan’s legacy is now the catalyst for Justin’s commitment to ensuring that no other family suffers these failures.
As a member of the Board for Not Just One Voice, Justin brings aspirational leadership to inspire our communities to stand up, share their stories, and harness their power to drive meaningful change. He views patients and providers as two sides of the same coin—both trapped in a system that requires urgent reform. By fostering a space where both patients and providers can safely share their experiences and perspectives, he seeks to dissolve the "us vs. them" narrative, replacing it with a collective partnership. He believes that for healthcare workers to provide better care, they need support, just as the community needs a system that is safe and accountable.
Through Rowan’s memory, Justin is helping to build a community of partnership and courage where every story has the power to save a life, and where accountability is the standard, not the exception. Justin’s mission is fueled by the conviction that collective voices are the only force strong enough to demand a healthcare system defined by equity, transparency, and zero preventable deaths.
